ar X iv : n uc l - th / 9 80 80 44 v 1 1 7 A ug 1 99 8 Multiquark picture for Σ ( 1620 )

In the QCD sum rule approach we predict the Σ (1620) mass by considering the K̄N , πΣ, and πΛ multiquark interpolating fields (I=1). The predicted mass is about 1.592 GeV. We also obtain 1.424 GeV as the Λ (1405) mass from the πΣ+πΣ+πΣ multiquark state (I=0), and compare this with our previous result from the πΣ multiquark state. On the other hand, the mass from the K̄N multiquark state (I=0) is 1.405 GeV. The uncertainties in our sum rules are also discussed. The narrow peak recently found in various pionic double charge exchange (DCX) cross sections can be explained by the assumption of a universal resonance at 2065 MeV, called d ′.
